Les commandes suivantes pourront vous aider à mieux connaître les références exactes de votre matériel.

lspci (voire lspci -vv)
lsusb pour voir votre matériel connecté via USB
cat /proc/cpuinfo pour voir votre type de processeur, et
lsmod pour voir les modules chargés

Lancer éditeur de configuration

A la barbare (très déconseillé) : gedit .config
A la console (pour les poilus) : make menuconfig
En graphique (bien !!!!) : make gconfig (pour Gnome) make xconfig (pour les autres)
